Golf Tips

“Swing Tips”
A proper setup is vital to the rest of the swing and the game. Ask the professionals what they are working on, and they will all tell you - it's the fundamentals.

What are the first things a good teacher works on with student fundamentals?
  • Posture
  • Grip
  • Alignment
What are the keys to nurturing fundamentals?
  • A pre-shot routine
  • Proper grip of the club
  • Where you aim the face of the club

These fundamentals will determine where you will hit the ball. A good setup may not result in a great swing; however, bad fundamentals will guarantee that you will never improve your overall game.

  • POSTURE:
Relax, arms hanging from the shoulders, knees flexed with feet placed at shoulder width.

  • GRIP:
    Light on the fingers.

  • ALIGNMENT:
Shoulders, feet and hips slightly left of target with club face square to target.
